Creed vocalist and living music meme Scott Stapp has been cast to play Frank Sinatra in the upcoming Ronald Reagan biopic Reagan. Which seems like a really interesting choice by director Sean McNamara, but it's certainly proving to be good for the visibility of the movie.
According to SPIN, the biopic will also feature Penelope Ann Miller as Nancy Reagan, Mena Suvari as Jane Wyman, Kevin Dillon as Jack Warner, and Jon Voight as a KGB agent.
“Sinatra in performance mode was an exercise in restraint,” Stapp said to Billboard. “He had this steely, stylish swagger and his sheer presence commanded a room. I was excited to join the cast and blown away by the on-set attention to detail, style, and overall production.”
Now you can look forward to a potential Creed reunion and a biopic featuring Stapp! What a future!
According to IMDB, Reagan is slated to be released in 2021 and is a "drama based on the life of Ronald Reagan, from his childhood to his time in the oval office."
