SLIPKNOT's Clown Casts Sons of Anarchy Star For His Full-Length Feature Film Directorial Debut

Tig Trager is back!

Tig Trager is back!

All the way back in the summer of 2013, we reported that Slipknot's Clown, aka M. Shawn Crahan announced his full-length directorial debut based on the comic Officer Downe, about "an LA supercop routinely killed in the line of fire who’s resurrected and sent back out into the fray time after time."

For some reason, I assumed the movie would be worked on while Slipknot were on hiatus, but here we are and the movie hasn't even started production. But there is progress!

Today, Deadline reports the title character has been cast. It's Kim Coates, who played SAMCRO soldier Tig Trager on the recently completed Sons of Anarchy.

Unfortunately, no further details, like shooting schedules or release dates, are yet available. We'll keep you posted.
