Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, the duo behind Nine Inch Nails and boatloads of movie soundtracks, have been called upon to score Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. The movie is directed by Jeff Rowe (The Mitchells vs the Machines), co-directed by Kyler Spears, and features voice acting from such celebrities as John Cena, Ice Cube, Giancarlo Esposito, Seth Rogen, Paul Rudd, Maya Rudolph, and more.
The news originated from pro-skater Tony Hawk in a recent episode of Hawk Vs. Wolf, where he said "[Trent] and Atticus are working on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. When I went there, they were working on the soundtrack to that movie that Seth [Rogen] told us about."
Rowe has since confirmed the news, saying: "Well now that my teenage hero Tony Hawk has leaked that my music heroes are doing this I can add that the score is absolutely AMAZING. Exhilarating, terrifying, heartbreaking, full of sounds I didn't know existed. I don't have the vocabulary to describe it. I love it so much."
