The Detroit Red Wings walked onto the ice of their March 1 game against the Carolina Hurricanes while "The Grip Tightens" by Revocation blasted over the speakers. Because let's face it – hockey is the most metal sport.
"Boston Tech Death for Detroit Red Wings player walk outs. Seeing Revocation last night had me feeling inspired."
Revocation guitarist and vocalist David Davidson also commented on the song's appearance.
"The Detroit Red Wings walked out to a Revocation tune the other night at the Little Caesar’s Arena, thanks to @maggot_food for cranking 'The Grip Tightens' at the game!"
Footage of the game comes courtesy of Instagram user maggot_food, who is also the lighting director at Little Caesars Arena where the Detroit Red Wings play (and is also responsible for The Black Dahlia Murder being played over the PA there too).
