Anthrax celebrated turning 40 this year with a great retrospective docuseries and ensuing livestream. Now the band is aiming to chill out a little bit with their anniversary bourbon, Anthrax XL.
According to Hillrock Estate Distillery, the Anthrax XL is "a smooth Solera-aged, single-barrel bourbon finished for 40 days in a 20-year old Oloroso Sherry cask, providing the spirits with balanced flavors and layers of complexity." Each of the limited 400 bottles have a cask strength of 115 proof and come with the band members' signatures and a drawstring velvet gift bag emblazoned with the Anthrax XL logo. Those bottles will run $155.
Taking things up a notch is a limited edition of 40 available for $350. Those feature all of the above, plus a customized box encased in a SilverFoil card stock wrap-around and a Golden Ticket. The Golden Ticket awards the purchaser and a guest admission to an Anthrax headline concert in the purchaser's area, and includes a special in-person Meet & Greet with the band to take place during Anthrax's 2022 U.S. tour.
