In December 2015, Opeth launched a stout beer in celebration of its 25th anniversary as a band. That beer was a limited edition, so if you didn't get the chance to try it then you simply missed out. Fortunately, the band is launching a second beer, called Communion Pale Ale, which is currently only available in the UK and is brewed by Northern Monk Brew Co.
We didn't lie though – the beer will be available worldwide.
“After the success of the XXV Anniversary Stout, it’s great to be continuing our collaboration with the guys from Opeth This time we have come up with an easy drinking American Pale Ale with a solid UK malt backbone over which we layered lots of classic US hop varieties including Equinox and Citra. Expect pine, spice and all the punchy citrus you’d expect of the style, perfect gig refreshment!”
Here in NJ, I've seen the Iron Maiden beer a whole lot, so here's hoping this one makes the rounds as well!
