Plenty of bands (seriously, plenty) have gotten into the booze game so why shouldn't Brooklyn's Tombs? The band just announced the launch of Savage Gold beer, named after their excellent new album. The IPA promises some interesting flavors:
Brooklyn, New York’s TOMBS are set to release an official IPA beer with Tired Hands Brewing Company in Ardmore, PA. The Savage Gold beer is an imminently refreshing and crushable IPA. Brewed with red wheat and oats. Hopped intensely and aggressively with Nelson Sauvin and Hallertau Blanc. Enormous notes of white grape, green pepper, mango, and marijuana. 5.2% abv. Tired Hands will be holding a special event around the launch of the beer this Friday, July 18th at their brewery in Ardmore complete with giveaways of the band’s new album Savage Gold. Info on the brewery is available HERE
Normally, I do not enjoy the bitterness of an IPA. I'm more of a lager or hefeweizen kind of a guy, but I'm curious to try all metal-related beers so I would absolutely give it a shot.
Expanding the Tombs brand, they will soon have Savage Gold coffee as well! According to ThePRP:
Additionally, frontman Mike Hill has launched a specialty coffee company, Savage Gold Coffee, inspired by his love for high quality, organic coffee. The first roast,Savage Gold Prime, is an Ethiopian Yirgacheffe coffee bean grown between 6,000 and 6,500 feet above sea level. It is an aromatic and dynamic coffee roasted to perfection with a large flavor profile. It is sourced from a co op of Ethiopian farmers and is 100% Fair Trade, certified organic and wet (mechanically) processed. More info on the coffee is available via the official Savage Gold website HERE.”
So in the span that it takes you to listen to the new Tombs album, you can get plastered and then rejuvenated with a nice cup of coffee.
