Hatebreed released Weight of the False Self two weeks ago, on Black Friday, and perhaps that wasn't the best day to release a metal album, because it is the first Hatebreed album not to chart on the Billboard Top 200 since the band's debut.
Lambgoat reports that the band's new album sold 5,250 copies. That is less than 1/3rd of what the band's previous release, The Concrete Confessional, did. That album sold 16,500 copies. A very steep drop! The album before that, The Divinity of Purpose (2013) album sold 17,400 copies. The album did not chart on the top 200 but did make these Billboard charts.
- Hard Rock Albums chart – #12
- Top Current Album Sales chart – #28
- Top Album Sales chart – #48
- Independent Albums chart – #48
- Top Rock Albums chart – #50
The album itself is what you would expect from Hatebreed. Have you heard the record? What did you think?
