Vinyl can be expensive, especially if you miss out on the initial sale and have to buy it used on Discogs. The website publishes their most expensive items sold lists retrospectively each month, and with the September post comes two familiar names – Type O Negative and Misfits.

Type O Negative's exclusive Record Store Day box set None More Negative released in 2011, containing the band's six studio albums between 1991 and 2003, sold on the website for $1,300, while a Misfits 1986 white repress of Legacy Of Brutality on Plan 9 went for $1,578.

Nirvana also made the list twice. A white 1989 pressing of Bleach went for $1,250, while the Love Buzz b/w Big Cheese 7" was the second most expensive one on the list at $3,600. The winner in September was an obscure 1970s progressive jazz rock album by the band Room, which went for $3,636.
