ATTILA's Fronz Could Face Battery Charges For Punching Security Guard

It might be a while until Attila play Nevada again.

It might be a while until Attila play Nevada again.

Yesterday, footage surfaced of Attila frontman Chris Fronzak punching a security guard at their Aug. 22nd Las Vegas gig from behind.

Fronzak had a meltdown on stage cursing out security and calling one security guard out in particular for being too rough. A commenter on the post who claimed he was there alleges security were being unnecessarily rough with fans, particularly a crowd surfer.

I was there and watched security try to shove a crowd surfer down while people were still holding him up instead of pulling him over the rail like they did with everyone else all night. They couldn't push him back/down so they pulled him over and twisted his arm behind his head and put him in a headlock and was roughing him up behind the barriers. For crowd surfing???? This isn't the first time security at this same venue power tripped and unnecessarily roughed up fans. Security was trying to fight too. Went to pull of their uniform shirt and had to be held back.

After punching the security guard, Fronzak cancelled the show and his band got the hell out of town.

A local NBC affiliate tried to schedule an interview with Fronz to get his side of the story, but he's not talking:

Las Vegas' KSNV notes that the security company, Contemporary Services Corporation, claims three of its security guards were hurt at the show and claims Fronz sucker-punched two separate guards and a third guard was hit with a guitar. The company filed a report with local authorities, and Fronzak could be facing a battery charge.

The Hard Rock released the following statement:

“The safety and security of our fans, staff and performers is our top priority. We are disappointed in the escalation of events at the Attila show last night. While we believe security acted in an appropriate way to protect the best interests of guests, we are reviewing the incident to ensure proper protocol was followed.”

It might be a while until Attila play Nevada again. Here is the local news report, where they continually, hilariously, mispronounce the band's name:
