Deftones' Chino Moreno is staying busy, and his latest musical offering is an appearance on rapper Trippie Red's new song. Red collaborated with Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker on a project called Neon Shark vs. Pegasus and the album features numerous guest appearances, including Moreno, Machine Gun Kelly, and Zillakami.
Red is a big fan of Deftones, even suggesting to Shirley’s Temple that the album title was inspired by Deftones' "White Pony," saying:
“Basically, one of my favorite bands is Deftones, and they made an album called ‘Pony,’ [sic] so I like the fact that they used just, you know, some type of animal to symbolize what they felt on the album. So, I made a rock album called ‘Neon Shark’. It was supposed to be its own album, but I was like, ‘fuck it, I’mma make it the deluxe for ‘Pegasus.’’”
