FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH Release Cover Of THE OFFSPRING's "Gone Away"

It's not quite as energetic as the original.

In 1997, The Offspring released Ixnay on the Hombre, which contained the relatively upbeat song "Gone Away." Twenty years later Five Finger Death Punch has taken the mid-paced rocker and knocked it down to a much more somber version of itself. Five Finger Death Punch's version is a pretty far cry from the original, though it's cool to see the band actually take some liberties with a song instead of just rehashing the song.

The cover appears on Five Finger Death Punch's new greatest hits album, which also contains two new songs which may or may not be from the band's coming album.
