In Flames is back with their second new single of 2022. In Flames is now streaming "The Great Deceiver," which if you've been looking for more of an old-school sound from the band in recent years, you're going to love this. It's got all the melody of mid-career In Flames and none of the clean vocals found on a lot of their material. Between this and "State Of Slow Decay," I think it's safe to say this (so-far unannounced) new record is going to rule.
"'The Great Deceiver' was born out of frustration — basically a reaction to false flags. But since then, it has grown to represent several meanings," said In Flames. "There’s a line that says 'Bend the truth to fit your opinion,' and we feel that speaks a lot to the narrative happening online, between people, and nations, etc., today. We are more apart now than ever before yet it's easier to communicate than in any other time in history."
In Flames has quite a few tour dates coming up, now including a European trek later this year with At The Gates, Imminence, and Orbit Culture. Get those dates below.
