Melvins originally released their debut self-titled 7" in 1986 via C/Z Records. Now nearly 40 years later, Melvins has re-recorded all six songs from the 7" for a brand new EP called The Devil You Knew, The Devil You Know. You check out the modern version of "Grinding Process" below, which sounds as chunky as ever.
"Melvins 40th anniversary sees them returning to their first 7"s six songs," said Melvins' label AmRep of the release. "The Devil You Knew, The Devil You Know is the resulting LP. The concept is placing the original material on the flip of the 2023 re-recordings. Glorious! King Buzzo, Dale and Steven stomping this out."
