Black Earth, the band featuring original Arch Enemy guitarists Michael Amott and Christopher Amott, vocalist Johan Liiva, drummer Daniel Erlandsson and bassist Sharlee D'Angelo (who was preceded by Martin Bengtsson), have been touring Japan for a few years now performing material from the first three Arch Enemy records – Black Earth, Stigmata and Burning Bridges. The band recently released their collection Path Of The Immortal in Japan, which features remastered tracks from the early records alongside two brand new songs recorded in 2018 at Studio Fredman with producer Fredrik Nordström.
This is the first music from this iteration of Arch Enemy since 1999. You can check out those two new songs, "Life Infernal" and "Burn On The Flame," below. As it stands, Black Earth does not appear to have any plans to release Path Of The Immortal in America or tour the country. Which is a huge bummer, especially considering how good these tracks are.
