THE BODY's New Song "Can Carry No Weight" Is Not Heavy, Is Very Spacey

It's still pretty great, though.

It's still pretty great, though.

The Body recently announced their new album I Have Fought Against It, But I Can’t Any Longer and debuted a beautifully heavy song that just kept building and building until it became unbearably noisy.

Now they're back with a new song called "Can Carry No Weight" with vocalist Kristin Hayter again, but this time there's quite literally no weight to the song. Instead, The Body drives along at a maddeningly consistent tempo and really brings the gloom until the very end.

It'll be interesting to hear how "Can Carry No Weight" fits in within the context of the album, but for now let's just enjoy the song's super spacious nature. I Have Fought Against It, But I Can’t Any Longer is out on May 11 and you can grab a copy below.
