The Night Flight Orchestra is a very non-death metal group featuring very metal musicians such as Arch Enemy bassist Sharlee D'Angelo on guitar, axeman Sebastian Forslund, Soilwork's Björn Strid on vocals, Mean Streak's drummer Jonas Källsbäck and guitarist David Andersson, alongside keyboardist Richard Larsson.
Despite this being the band's third album, I still can't believe how different Strid's vocals sound in this context. Dude's got an amazing voice, but laid overtop classic rock like this, it just has a whole different feel even though it's the same guy. Talk about versatility, right?
Amber Galactic is out May 19.
