Trivium kicked off their tour last night with Heaven Shall Burn, Obituary, and Malevolence. To celebrate, both Trivium and Heaven Shall Burn released a brand new 7" where they covered each other's songs. Trivium's tackled "Implore The Darken Sky" which you can hear below, while Heaven Shall Burn took on "Pillars Of Serpents," which has previously been released. You can grab the 7" here.
"In the early days of Trivium, back when we were discovering the many great genres and flavors of heavy music, I knew about the classic greats, I knew about extreme metal, but never before had I heard what HSB was doing," said Trivium frontman Matt Heafy. "Heaven Shall Burn's Whatever It May Take album was my first introduction to their brand of metalcore. This fusion of hardcore ethos and metal sounds blew my mind."
