DEFEATED SANITY, GRUESOME STUFF RELISH, MORE Are Slated To Brutalize Gotham During New York Deathfest 2

Last year marked the inaugural New York Deathfest, a two day celebration of the foulest, most putrid underground death metal and grindcore the eastern seaboard has ever seen. A total of 30 bands including Cephalic Carnage, Macabre, and Phobia invaded two separate Brooklyn venues for a weekend of musical atrocities that could likely only be matched by another New York Deathfest. It's fortunate then that Useless Christ Records, the company behind the first fest, is returning to NYC for another outing this July.

So far, ten bands have been announced with ten more on the way in the upcoming months. Defeated Sanity, Gruesome Stuff Relish, Lust of Decay, Amputated Genitals, Embalmer, Sexcrement, Plague Widow, Parasitic Extirpation, Abacinate, and Coffin Dust have all been confirmed, and 2-day combo passes are already on sale for $75 through Useless Christ Records' Big Cartel page. If you're the nostalgic type, you can also purchase an $85 bundle that includes a NY Deathfest t-shirt so you'll have a souvenir to forever remind you of the time a bunch of drunken, instrument-wielding psychopaths brutalized you for two straight days.

Unlike last year, both dates of NY Deathfest will be held at Brooklyn's Saint Vitus venue. The first concert will be held on Saturday July 26th and the second is happening Sunday July 27th. These are all-day events so, rest assured, you'll be getting your money's worth if you decide to go both days. Keep an eye on Metal Injection for more announcements regarding New York Deathfest 2 including additional band announcements and pricing for one day tickets. In the meantime, head to Facebook and Like the NYDF event page for additional news and announcements as they happen. For now, enjoy this video of Visceral Disgorge from last year's NYDF compliments of Metal Injection's own Frank Huang.
