Look. If you didn't grab Electric Wizard's Time To Die, you're missing out on a great record. On that same thought, you might want to go hunt down a copy pretty soon considering the album will be out of print for a period of time. That means digital and physical copies will straight up not be available at all. What gives?
According to MetalSucks, in June 2014 the group's long-time drummer Mark Greening left the band for a second time. September 2014 the band released Time To Die and that seemed to be that. Except according to Greening, members Jus Oborn and Liz Buckingham still owe him money for the work he did on the record.
Now, in the terrible trend of metal lately, Greening has got lawyer involved. Even worse is that Spinefarm is completely taking the record down "in all major markets and is in the process of being removed in other territories to the extent that this has not been done already."
Son of a bitch. MetalSucks also got a hold of the legal papers as well, should you feel the urge to leaf through them.
We've had name changes mainly when it came to lawsuits, but an entire album being retracted until further notice? Holy hell. I guess we'll see how this works out in the end… though I'm hoping for sooner rather than later. It's a good record!
