Finally, some positive late breaking news to come from the ongoing Randy Blythe story. After spending nearly 4 days in Czech prison for allegations of manslaughter, it's being reported the Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe has been released on bail.
According to a seemingly biased report on the Czech news site blesk.cz Randy appeared before court this morning to address the charges. The judge, believing Blythe to be a flight risk, imposed bail at 4 million Czech Koruna ($200,000). According to the original report Randy was very timid, and did not speak at his hearing, but was represented by two lawyers in court. Since the banks are closed this weekend it's been said that Blythe will be allowed to pay off his bail on Monday (July 2nd).
Lamb of God guitarist Mark Morton tweeted hours ago following the initial hearing
This is certainly the best news we've heard yet from this unsettling story, however it should be mentioned that Randy's nightmare is not yet over. The lead singer is still facing upcoming court appearances on the allegations of manslaughter stemming from a fan's death two years ago. I can't imagine what Randy is going through right now, but he certainly has the support of metal fans across the globe. We're very happy to hear Randy is no longer locked up, we'll be even happier to report when he's coming home. For now our thoughts and best wishes are still with Randy, his family, and the band during this time.
