Not to be confused with our beloved guitar god Thor Shredsteen, T.H.O.R. which stands for Tomato's House of Rock, is the accumulation of inspired NY based youngsters who shred! Made up of kids ranging from 8 to 17 years of age, this high octane show is filled with a slew of metal covers including Pantera, Lamb of God, Mastodon, Iced Earth, Slayer, Iron Maiden, Muse, Faith No More, Suicidal Tendencies, Satyricon and much more! Lead by founder Chris "Tomato" Harfenist, the students are encouraged to showcase their talent and personality on stage playing songs that the students themselves have selected and rehearsed.
I checked this show out a couple months back and was completely blown away by how talented these kids are, all while putting on a show that give pro bands a run for their money! If that wasnt enough, THOR students will be joined by special guests Joe Russo (Trey Anastasio, The Duo) and Jay Jay French (Twisted Sister) on select tunes.
The party begins at 2pm January 24th @ The Highline Ballroom in NYC
