Finnish goth rockers The 69 Eyes kicked off their “Hell Has No Mercy” tour at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn, NY this past Friday night.
Eager fans starting lining up over an hour prior to doors for the sold out show, and by the time doors opened the line was making its way down the block, leading to a packed house from the very start. Kicking off the evening was Austin-based metal group The Crowned, followed by Sumo Cyco and Wednesday 13.
The 69 Eyes then took the stage and kicked off the set with "Two Horns Up" – their setlist showcased a number of tracks from their 2019 release, “West End”, as well as fan favorites such as “Brandon Lee”, “Lost Boys”, and “Dance D’Amour”. Vocalist Jyrki 69 summed up the evening best as he was introducing their track, “Wasting Dawn”, when he said “Rock and roll never dies – the Helsinki vampires are gonna live forever, motherfuckers!”
The tour continues through the end of February, wrapping up in Reading, PA on February 22nd.
