Trapt continue to try to find ways to stay relevant, and despite a pandemic, scheduled a show in Dallas this weekend. The band was scheduled to play Trees in Dallas, TX on November 21st, and when the venue cancelled the show, Trapt pointed the blame to social justice warriors, and made sure to invite Proud Boys to his show.
Trees, the venue in question, posted this statement: “Due to reasons beyond our knowledge, the Trapt show has been canceled. All tickets will be refunded to the point of purchase. We apologize for any inconvenience.” It almost seems as though they put the onus on Trapt for why the show was cancelled.
But Trapt put the blame on social justice warriors, while also shouting out the Proud Boys.
"PYOB" is a Proud Boys saying for "proud of your boy." The group have been accused of being white nationalists during the Democratic debates by Vice President Joe Biden. A BBC writeup on the group can be found here for more info. So things are going really well for Trapt.
Trapt sold only 600 copies first week of their album, and the band claimed, with no proof, that it was actually 4,000 copies. They were caught in their lie shortly after. He was also accused of dodging payments to his music video director. Nice to Chris Taylor Brown is staying up on politics though.
