McKenzie Bell, former guitarist for He Is Legend and Bloodjinn, has passed away. No cause of death has been revealed at the time of this story's publishing. Bloodjinn broke the news on Facebook this weekend writing
We are extremely saddened today to find out that our great friend and former guitarist, Mckenzie Bell, has passed away. He was always a blast to hang out with and one incredible riff writer. He was the king of all of the hot sauces. Seriously, his collection was insane. He was largely involved in our ‘This Machine Runs On Empty’ recording process, along with @machinejk76. He even had a great singing voice and will forever be heard on “Moment Of Clarity”. Rest in power brother. You were loved dearly by everyone.
The PRP notes that Bell has been recovering from a serious accident in recent years, and has been documenting his recovery on his Instagram page prior to his death.
Bell played on the first two albums from He Is Legend, 2004’s I Am Hollywood and 2006’s Suck Out the Poison, before joining Bloodjinn to perform on 2007's This Machine Runs on Empty.
Our deepest condolences to his family and friends.
