Disturbed will begin playing shows again this week and weekend, which according to vocalist David Draiman means the band will also begin writing new material. Draiman said in an interview with Rock 95.5 that he's been dying to get working on new Disturbed and that being on tour puts the band in the right headspace.
"I'm very, very much looking forward to this next run because in between the Hard Rock dates and [Welcome To Rockville] that we're playing in Daytona Beach, we plan to kind of start writing again. I'm looking forward to it. I've been dying — as I've been saying in the press on numerous occasions — I've been dying to write more new Disturbed material. And I think now everybody is finally in the headspace to do it. And I can't wait."
The new Disturbed material will be their first since Evolution in 2018.
