Don't Worry, DISTURBED's New Acoustic EP Will Have New Songs Too

No word on if acoustic "Down With The Sickness" is coming, but it better be.

Disturbed guitarist Dan Donegan said recently that the band is working on an acoustic EP, which has to be the result of the blockbuster success of their cover of the Simon & Garfunkel classic, "Sound of Silence.

In a recent press conference before their gig in Moscow on March 16, Disturbed revealed some more info. When asked if there would be any new songs, frontman David Draiman has stated that the EP will be a few new tracks, as well as acoustic renditions of tracks from the band's discography.

"Well, we're still working on it. We haven't really set a timeframe in stone. We'd like to kind of have as much time as we need to get it to the point that we're as confident in it as we can possibly be, that we see the songs through to their fruition. And the answer to your question, yes, there will be new original material — original acoustic pieces — as well as acoustic versions of existing songs within the catalog."

Plus, we already know that Disturbed is also looking to put out a new album in 2018 too, so maybe it'll be a reverse situation? Do the acoustic versions of the new songs now, and then the heavy versions later?
