Tenacious D is now streaming their long-awaited medley of The Who's "Pinball Wizard," "There's A Doctor," and "Go To The Mirror!" The medley comes alongside a video directed by Liam Lynch (who also helmed the band's 2006 film The Pick Of Destiny), and in true Tenacious D fashion is completely insane. Someone should get this Jack Black guy into acting, right? He's pretty good at it!
"WHO better to deliver a tribute to the greatest rock opera of all times? Who? The D! That's Who!! We've been working on this medley for 20 years. It's finally ready to be unleashed. Crank it. It's a humdinger. Enjoy."
"The Who Medley" is available on all streaming services and on 7" vinyl. Get 'em here. The 7" ships sometime around September and all proceeds will go to the Everytown For Gun Safety charity, which of course is top-of-mind for a lot of folks in the wake of such horrific shootings as the one in Uvalde, TX.
Everytown described themselves as such: "More than 8 million mayors, moms, teachers, survivors, gun owners, students, and everyday Americans have come together to make their own communities safer. Everytown starts with you, and it starts in your neighborhood. By introducing evidence-based solutions in every town, we can end gun violence." Learn more here.
