Death Metal is a film "about a metal band that inadvertently writes a song so evil that anyone who hears it is afflicted with a deadly curse," which sounds potentially hilarious and probably awesome. Instead of hiring crew and bands that really don't give a damn about the genre, the filmmakers are seeking cast, crew, and bands to all be a part of the film!
You can read all about the roles available on the movie's site, and if you're interested, reach out to [email protected]. If you're a band interested in being a part of the flick, email [email protected], and if you're interested in being crew, email [email protected].
The film is being shot in Ohio starting June 1.
The film is written and directed by Michael Kuciak, produced by Michael Alden (Unhinged) and Ian Holt (Episode 50, Dracula: The Un-Dead) of Alt-House Productions alongside Blast Furnace Media, and already includes Christopher James Baker (The Purge: Election Year, True Detective), Carmen Gangale (Batman v Superman, Captain American: Winter Soldier), and Shadia Martin (Sweet 16).
