The Art Of Self Defense was one of the breakout films at this year's SXSW film festival, and the movie has a metal edge. The film was directed by Riley Stearn and features Lex Luthor himself, Jesse Eisenberg as the leader actor.
The film is a quirky, dark comedy about a dorky dude, who gets mugged and thus takes up karate to be more manly and learn some self defense. His Sensei (actor Alessandro Nivola) ends up being more than Eisenberg's character expected and the movie seems to take a dark turn from there.
One of the most interesting parts of the trailer is when the Sensei asks Eisenberg's character what his favorite music is. "Adult contemporary" is the response, and the Sensei brushes it off telling him he should be listening to metal.

The Art Of Self Defense has a limited release on July 12th before spreading to more theaters the following week.
