Chimaira announced yesterday they'd reunite for two shows on May 12 and 13 at The Agora in Cleveland, OH to celebrate the 20th anniversary of The Impossibility Of Reason. This of course prompted a barrage of questions leveled at vocalist Mark Hunter on Twitter, asking what else Chimaira had planned for 2023. The answer is very simple – nothing.
Hunter revealed in a quick FAQ-style tweet that Chimaira had no other touring plans, wasn't planning on playing any festival dates, and isn't doing a new album. It's just the two shows next May and that's it. Hunter also noted that Chimaira doesn't have any specific plans to film the show for a live release in the future, but also isn't ruling it out as a possibility.
The lineup for both shows is Hunter, guitarists Rob Arnold and Matt DeVries, bassist Jim LaMarca, keyboardist Chris Spicuzza, and (now ex-DevilDriver) drummer Austin D'Amond. The May 12 show will be opened by Integrity and State of Conviction, and the May 13 show will be opened by Ringworm and Solipsist. Tickets are on sale now at this location.
